Box Score LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball team fell Saturday afternoon against Siena by a score of 64-45.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman Forward Fatmata Janneh started the Peacocks off in the afternoon with a layup assisted by Graduate Student Mikia Keith, putting the Peacocks on the board early. During the first quarter, Graduate Student Maya Hyacienth secured a steal in the open floor to add two more points in favor of the Peacocks. At the end of the first quarter the score was 8-17.
During the second quarter, Freshman Guard Emily O'Connell converted her first two points as a Peacock. Saint Peter's secured 10 rebounds during the first half. At halftime, the score was 34-21 in favor of Siena.
When the squad returned after halftime, Janneh and Freshman Carys Roy both put in a layup for the Peacocks. Roy went 2-of-3 in field goals and added 10 rebounds and 11 points. Janneh went 4-of-8 in field goals along with 7 rebounds and 11 points for the game.
Roy and Janneh were the lead scorers Saturday afternoon. Roy obtained her first career double-double. Saint Peter's secured 31 rebounds collectively during Saturday's game.

The Peacocks return home to Run Baby Run Arena where the squad takes on Canisius. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm on Thursday, January 11th.
