JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball team is set to host Canisius on Thursday, January 11th at 7pm. You can watch the live stream of the game on ESPN+.
ABOUT SAINT PETERS
The Peacocks are off to a 4-9 start, currently holding wins over Marist, CCSU, Hampton, and LIU. All wins have come by double-digits. Sophomore guard Jada Leonard leads the Peacocks in scoring, she has a total of 141 points so far this season. Freshman Fatmata Janneh leads the squad in rebounds, she has a total of 91 rebounds.
Leonard went 2-of-4 in three-pointers, 3-of-7 from the field, and finished the game with a total of 14 points against Quinnipiac. When facing Quinnipiac, Graduate student Mikia Keith netted a three-pointer assisted by graduate student Maya Hyacienth, tying the score 13-13 with 3:46 remaining.
Against Siena, freshman guard Emily O'Connell converted her first two points as a Peacock. Carys Roy and Janneh were the leading scorers against Siena. Roy obtained her first career double-double. The Peacocks had a total of 71 rebounds over both contests.
ABOUT CANISIUS
The Canisius Women's Basketball team enters the game with a record of 8-5. They are currently 3-1 in the MAAC.
Graduate Student Bri Rozzi led Canisius in scoring versus Fairfield, scoring a season-high 13 points and grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.
THE SERIES
This is the 74th matchup in history between the Golden Griffins and the Peacocks. The all-time series is 37-36 in favor of the Golden Griffins.

Following this game, the Peacocks head up to New York where the squad takes on Manhattan. Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday, January 12th.
