Tip-Off 

  • The Peacocks hit the road for the second leg of a two game trip when they visit Iona on Saturday.
  • The Peacocks are coming off of a 51-41 loss against Marist last game. Junior center Kassondra Brown led the way for the Peacocks, scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. That was her fourth consecutive double-double.
  • The two teams met earlier this season at Saint Peter's, with the Peacocks coming away with the 54-53 victory. Brown led the Peacocks in scoring with 20 in the contest.

  • Williams hit three three pointers in the game against Rider on 2/12. She broke the career three-point record at Saint Peter's, as she now has 169 and counting. Tania Kennedy '09 previously held the record with 167 during her outstanding career.
  • Williams reached the 1,000 point milestone at Saint Peter's in the last game against Marist, scoring a layup with 3:26 left in the fourth quarter to hit the magic number. She is the 24th Peacock in history to achieve this.
  • Williams eclipsed the 2,000 point mark of her career with 3:47 remaining in the second quarter against Canisius on 12/19. She has achieved that total by scoring for both FDU-Florham and Saint Peter's.
  • Williams ranks sixth amongst the active career scoring leaders in the country.
  • She is ranked seventh amongst the active career three-point field goal leaders in the NCAA.

Stuck In the Middle

  • The Peacocks currently sit sixth in the MAAC standings with just a few weeks left in the season. They have a 7-7 record in conference.
  • The team sits behind Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Manhattan, Monmouth, and Niagara. Saint Peter's has a 1-6 record combined against those teams.
  • The Peacocks are 6-1 against teams below them in the conference standings, with the one loss coming last time out against Marist.
  • Conference standings for both men and women will return to overall MAAC wins this season and will not be based on MAAC winning percentage. 

Battle

  • Iona and Saint Peter's battled it out in the last matchup, as the game was kept close the whole time.
  • Iona had a chance to tie the game down three with time winding down, but instead went for two. This allowed Saint Peter's to win by one.
  • Saint Peter's comes into this matchup after losing, while Iona has lost three straight.
