JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team lost three sets to one against Rider on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Elena Bilhartz was the Peacocks leading scorer on the day, tallying 14 points.
Match Notes
- Rider went on a 11-0 run in the middle of the first set, as they won 25-13 to take an early lead.
- The second set was very close, as the two teams split the first 20 points to be tied at ten. After Rider went up 16-12, the Peacocks went on a 5-0 run to take the lead back. Saint Peter's was able to hold on and take the second set 25-23.
- The Peacocks held an 8-7 lead in the third set but would never lead again in the set, as Rider won 25-20.
- The Broncs went on three 4-0 runs in the fourth set, as they would defeat the Peacocks 25-20.
Inside the Numbers
- Bilhartz had 14 points and 11 kills.
- Freshman Sydney Kuzma had 11 kills and 13.5 points. She also had 12 digs.
- Freshman Morgan Thurlow recorded ten kills and 12 points.
- Freshman Lillian Konrad had 32 assists and nine digs.
