  • The opening tip between the Peacocks and the Bears is scheduled to go up at 2 p.m.
  • Saint Peter's is coming off its first loss of the season, having dropped its game against St. John's by an 85-47 margin on Dec. 1.
  • The Peacocks were paced by junior guard Binta Salawu in the exchange, who finished the afternoon with 10 points, as well as two steals and an assist.
  • Salawu's classmate and fellow guard Nickelle O'Neil was the team's most productive rebounder against the Red Storm, coming away with eight boards, with four from each end of the floor.
History with the Bears:
  • Saint Peter's will look to extend its all-time advantage over Morgan State on Saturday, as the Peacocks enter the game with an 11-1 record when playing the Bears.
  • The two sides met on Nov. 26 last season, and in a game that saw 18 lead changes, the Peacocks came away with a narrow 78-77 victory.
  • Redshirt senior Kendrea Williams will look to improve on her success from last year, after she led the team offensively with 17 points and five rebounds in the affair.
  • Prior to last year's game, it had been nearly a decade since the Peacocks and the Bears met on the hardwood. The previous meeting took place on Dec. 29, 2009 during the Saint Peter's Holiday Classic, in which the Peacocks secured a 55-51 win.
Crash the Boards:
  • The Peacocks' 103 rebounds are the most by the team through two games during head coach Marc Mitchell's tenure at Saint Peter's.
  • Additionally, the Peacocks' 62 rebounds against NJIT on Nov. 25 marked the first time Saint Peter's finished with more than 50 rebounds in a single game since the squad recorded 52 boards against Hampton on Nov. 21, 2016.
  • In her first collegiate game, freshman Sky Castro tied the season-best, single-game rebound mark (13) of the past three years. Previous single-game bests belong to Zoe Pero (13) from 2018-19 and 2019-20, and Dajiah Martin (13) in 2017-18.
Up Next:
  • The Peacocks will return to the Garden State for their rescheduled game at Seton Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 8. The contest is currently slated for a 12 p.m. start.
