Opening Word:
- The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team will travel east across the Hudson Tuesday afternoon as they prepare to meet the St. John's Red Storm in a 2 p.m. tip-off.
- The Peacocks are coming off their season-opening win over NJIT on Nov. 25, in which they edged out the Highlanders 69-64 in overtime.
- The victory marks the third consecutive season opener in which the Peacocks have walked away triumphant, as head coach Marc Mitchell stays perfect in his season debuts with Saint Peter's.
- Redshirt senior Taiah Thornton led the squad in the affair, coming away with the first triple-double of her collegiate career, recording 15 points, 11 rebounds, and an impressive 11 steals.

- The Nov. 25 win over NJIT marks the second straight season opener in which the Peacocks have had four double-digit scorers.
- Thornton's 15 point outing is the redshirt senior's 24th double-digit game since joining the start of last season, while Williams's 13 points mark her 22nd game of scoring 10 or more in the blue and white.
