Elena Pulanco has been on the women's basketball staff since September 2022. She enters her second season for Saint Peter's as as an assistant coach. Pulanco was on staff for Saint Peter's women's basketball as the Director of Basketball Operations last season. She is a native New Jerseyan and recent graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. While there, she was a point guard for the Division 1 Terriers under Head Coach Jimmy Garrity, and was part of the team that achieved many program firsts: most wins in a single season (17-14); best SOCON Conference record (11-3); first Preseason WNIT Classic appearance; and first ever Postseason WNIT play in 2022.
After suffering two knee injuries, Pulanco made the transition to a player-coach role for her remaining collegiate career, contributing with game preparation, scouting, and tracking of non-traditional live game stats that aligned with team goals.
Additionally, Pulanco was also the co-president of the Wofford Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) from May 2021 to May 2022. She was an active member of the Wofford Asian and Pacific Islander organization, where she served as the organization's vice president. Currently, Pulanco is currently working toward earning her Master of Arts in Sports Industry Management at Georgetown University.
