Despite the outcome,
Tyler Smith had a great performance with three RBIs, a home run and a double.
Ashby Vining also played solid, bringing in three RBIs and hitting a home run as well. Other Peacocks to record hits were
Garrett Greco,
Tommy Kendrick,

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Peacocks opened the game with a 6-0 lead over the Hawks. They built the six-run advantage with big hits by Smith and Rakas that brought home two runners in the first inning before Vining hit a three-run homer in the top of the second. Baker then reached home plate for an unearned run in the third inning.
Monmouth really started to cut into the Saint Peter's lead in the bottom of the fourth when they added two runs to make it 3-7. The Hawks then had a huge fifth inning, rattling off five runs to take their first lead of the game at 8-7.
The Peacocks faced a 7-9 deficit going into the eighth. With the bases loaded, Smith was walked which advanced Greco to home plate, bringing the Peacocks within one. SPU tied the game at 9-9 after Kendrick scored shortly after his single up the middle.
The tie continued into the bottom of the ninth inning before Monmouth hit a walkoff home run in its first at bat to win the game 10-9.
