NEW YORK, NY – The Saint Peter's track and field team concluded the Dr. Sander Invitational on Saturday with solid showings across multiple events.
Junior Ciara Brown opened the day in the women's shot put, where her final throw of 12.36m earned her 14th place out of 24 competitors. University of Delaware's Olamide Ayeni won the event with a mark of 14.02m.
In the women's 200m Open, junior Karilynn Jimenez posted the top finish for Saint Peter's, placing 25th with a time of 26.25. Freshmen Shania McDuffie and Samyah Wilson followed with times of 26.78 and 27.40, respectively. Quinnipiac's Isabella Anzaldo claimed first out of 71 athletes, running 25.29.
The women's 200m Seeded featured a highly competitive field, with the top six finishers all running under 25 seconds. Senior Diamond McLaughlin clocked in at 27.36, while BYU's Emily Ellis-Dalley secured first with a time of 24.52.
Graduate student Delano Gooden impressed in the men's 200m Seeded, placing second in his heat and sixth overall with a time of 21.96. BYU's Riley Hunt led the field of 31 athletes with a time of 21.58.
Junior Cashieve Blair delivered a standout performance in the men's 200m Invitational, winning his heat with a time of 21.66 and earning a podium finish with third overall. Nigel Green of Garden State Track Club took first, clocking 21.28.
The men's 4x400m relay team—Hensley Baptiste, Connor Ziolkowski, Temiloluwa Adesetan, and Ajani Peck-Wekunda—finished sixth overall in 3:20.60, while BYU topped the standings with a time of 3:10.04, placing them on the Division I 2025 Indoor top 100 list for the event. (Full list here).
Junior Amari Campbell closed out the meet for Saint Peter's in the men's long jump Invitational, securing a top-ten finish with a mark of 6.92m on his second attempt. Lutalo Boyce, competing unattached, claimed first out of 23 competitors with a mark of 7.55m, while second through fourth place performances also landed on the Division I 2025 Indoor top 100 list.
