LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Saint Peter's track and field team is set to close out its season at the 2025 MAAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Rider University at the Michael P. Brady Track & Field Complex, May 10–11.
The Peacocks are looking to build on a strong showing at last year's conference meet, where Saint Peter's captured three event titles and several top finishes.
Abigail Vital led the women's team with a win in the 100m hurdles (14.48), edging out the runner-up by just 0.04 seconds, and added a second-place finish in the 200m. On the men's side,
Cashieve Blair took gold in the 400m with a time of 47.68, following up his then-school record performance of 47.53 from the Morgan State Legacy Meet. The 4x400m relay team—
Clardo Nestor,
Connor Ziolkowski,
Delano Gooden, and Blair—also claimed the MAAC title, finishing in 3:18.89.
Diamond McLaughlin earned silver in the women's 400m hurdles.
With upperclassmen leaders Gooden, Blair, and McLaughlin not competing this year, the door is open for a new wave of Peacocks to step up on the conference stage.
Rider University enters as the defending champion on both the men's and women's sides, having swept the team titles at last year's MAAC Outdoor Championships. Saint Peter's finished sixth on the men's side and seventh on the women's.
