JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's University men's soccer junior
Tim Strele netted a first half equalizer that held up as the Peacocks earned a 1-1 draw against Manhattan University in a Metro Atlantic Athletics Conference contest on Saturday.
The Peacocks move to 0-7-4 and 0-1-2 in the MAAC, while the Jaspers stand at 3-5-2 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play.
Manhattan struck first as the Jaspers took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute of play.
The Peacocks responded on a break out opportunity as Strele received a pass from junior
Lex Vaughan, streaked down the field and pushed it past the keeper to even the match a 1-1 in the 27th minute.
Both teams had scoring chances in the second half but neither team was able to break the deadlock, giving each team a point in the standings.
Graduate keeper
Pedro Alves recorded six saves in the match.
The Peacocks return to action on Saturday, October 19 as they host Merrimack for a conference match-up at 2 pm.
