HACKENSACK, NJ. - The Saint Peter's volleyball team competed in a midweek non-conference match Wednesday on the road. The Peacocks (0-15) fell to the FDU Knights (3-13) three sets to none. This match marked the fifteenth consecutive match the Peacocks were on the road or at a neutral site this season.
Sydney Kuzma led SPU with five kills. Saint Peter's freshman Evin Jordee distributed a team-high nine assists along with 12 digs. Morgan Thurlow recorded three block assists and led Saint Peter's in points with 5.5. Additionally, Ivanka Sikiric delivered two service aces for the Peacocks.
Match Notes
- In the first set, the Knights jumped out to a 9-6 advantage. The Peacocks took five of the next six points and led 11-10. Both teams exchanged points as the set was tied at 13-13. The Knights closed out the first set on a 12-2 run and won 25-13.

FDU won the first seven points of the second set and never trailed during the set. The Knights won the second set 25-9.

Saint Peter's attempted a comeback effort in the third set. The Peacocks trailed 23-14 and answered with a 6-0 run that was highlighted by kills from Kuzma and Thurlow, and two service aces from Sikiric. FDU clinched the match on two attack errors from SPU and won the third set 25-19.

FDU recorded twice as many kills as the Peacocks. The Knights were led by Madisyn Beirne who had 9 kills and two service aces.
The Peacocks host two matches this weekend. On Saturday, Sep. 30, SPU hosts Marist (5-10) in its home opener at the Yanitelli Center. On Sunday Oct. 1 the Peacocks face Siena (1-13). Both matches are at 1PM.
