SOUTH ORANGE, NJ. - The Saint Peter's volleyball team competed at the Seton Hall Classic Friday. The Peacocks fell 3-0 to NJIT.
Lilly Konrad led the Peacocks in assists with 14. SPU sophomore
Morgan Thurlow had a team-high eight kills.
Skylee Nelson notched her fifth-career service ace.
Match Notes
- The Peacocks dropped the first set 25-14.
- The second set was tightly contested as it was tied at 11 before the Highlanders pulled away for a 25-19 set victory. SPU had more kills in the second set than NJIT (10-8.)
- In the third set came down to the wire as the Peacocks trailed 14-8 and went on a 4-0 run. The Peacocks battled back to make the score 20-19 before NJIT closed out the match on a 5-1 run.
- NJIT had 15 more points and 7 more kills than the Peacocks in the match.
