BRONX, N.Y. - The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball Team (1-4) fell to Fordham (5-2), on Tuesday Night at Rose Hill Gymnasium.
Freshman forward Fatmata Janneh was the lead scorer for the Peacocks, scoring 12 points after shooting 4-of-3 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. Janneh finished three points away from her season high today, she collected two rebounds and three steals.
Despite being defeated by the Rams, Senior guard Rachel Kuhl had two 3 point goals and a total of 8 points. Midway through the first quarter, Graduate Student guard Maya Hyacienth made a 3 point goal leading the score to 10-10.
Janneh opened the second quarter up for the Peacocks, she hit a 3 point goal assisted by Sophomore guard Jada Leonard. Leonard went 2-of-5 in 3 pointers and carried a total of 9 points.
The Peacocks head to Brooklyn on Thursday, November 30th as they take on the LIU Sharks. Tip off is set for 7 pm.
