JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's University volleyball team concluded the weekend with a matchup against Niagara (6-10) at the Yanitelli Center on Sunday. The Peacocks fell in three sets to none to the Purple Eagles.
Mackenzie Tucker hit double digit kills with 11. Lilly Konrad set a season-high 25 assists. Additionally, SPU freshman Crystal Nguyen hit a career-high 22 digs.

Morgan Thurlow led SPU in the opening set with four kills. The Peacocks trailed 7-3 and went on a run. Two consecutive kills from Tucker tied the set at 8-8. Both teams exchanged runs in the latter half of the set and SPU was down 21-20. Niagara pulled out the opening set 25-22.

The Peacocks fell 25-15 in the second set. The Purple Eagles jumped out to an early lead and maintained. Nguyen converted her second career service ace.

Niagara won the third set 25-18. The Peacocks took a 14-12 lead after they scored four of the last six points. The Purple Eagles answered back on a 4-0 run and closed out the set.

Cassie Seminoff led Niagara with seven kills and two service aces.
Next, Saint Peter's travels to Poughkeepsie for a midweek road match at Marist (9-10) on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
