HAMDEN, CT. - The Saint Peter's volleyball team suffered a conference loss to Quinnipiac three sets to none at the Burt Kahn Gym on Saturday.

SPU freshman Savina Trujillo distributed a team-high seven assists and led the Peacocks in service aces with three.

Mackenzie Tucker recorded a team-high seven kills and 10 digs. At the net, Morgan Thurlow had two blocks. Thurlow leads the Peacocks in blocks this season with 51.

In the first set, the Peacocks trailed 9-3. Elena Bilhartz served her seventh service ace of the season to cut the deficit to 15-10. The Bobcats pulled out the opening set 25-14.

Quinnipiac started the second set on a 6-1 run. The Peacocks cut the Bobcats lead to 15-10 when Samantha Trujillo connected on consecutive service aces for SPU's ninth and tenth points in the set. The Bobcats pulled away in the second set and won it 25-17.

With the third set tied at 4-4, SPU went on a 4-0 run that was highlighted by a kill from Tucker and three straight service aces from Savina Trujillo. The Bobcats answered back as they won ten of the next 12 points and closed out the third set 25-15.

Yagmur Gunes led the Bobcats with 18 points on 17 kills.
Next, Saint Peter's travels to Fairfield(12-5) for a match on Sunday Oct. 15 at 1PM. The match will be streamed on ESPN +.
