RIVERDALE, NY – The Saint Peter's women's volleyball lost three sets to two against Manhattan on Saturday.
Freshman Morgan Thurlow was the Peacocks leading scorer on the day, tallying 15 points.
Match Notes
- Manhattan led for most of the first set, but after leading 19-13, the Peacocks went on a 6-0 run to tie things up at 19. The rest of the set went back and forth, but the Peacocks ultimately dropped the set 28-26.
- The second set was very similar to the first. With Manhattan up 20-14, the Peacocks went on another 6-0 run to tie things at 20-20. The set went for 58 points as the Jaspers won 30-28.
- Down 22-16 in the third set and looking like a sweep, Saint Peter's turned it around and won five straight points to narrow the deficit. The Peacocks kept it within striking distance the rest of the way. At 28-28, Saint Peter's won two straight points to take the third set 30-28.
- Manhattan jumped out to a massive 16-9 lead in the fourth set but the Peacocks showed no quit. They went on a 4-0 run, 5-0 run, and then another 4-0 run to close out the Jaspers 25-23.
- The Peacocks led 1-0 and 2-1 in the fifth set, but fell short in their comeback attempt, as the Jaspers won 15-10 and took the match three sets to two.

- Thurlow had 11 kills and 15 points.
- Freshman Ava Harmon led the team in kills with 13.
- Freshman Laken Dillion had 21 digs.
- Freshman Lillian Konrad had 39 assists.
- Freshman Sydney Kuzma had 12 kills and seven digs.
