Women’s Soccer Travels to Lafayette Sunday

• The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team is back in action Sunday, August 29, as the team travels to face the Lafayette Leopards.

• Freshman forward Gianna Grassifulli recorded two shots in the game.

History with the Leopards

• The Peacocks and the Leopards will meet for the 24th time on Sunday.

• Lafayette won the last meeting between the two teams 2-1 September 8, 2021 in Jersey City.
• The Leopards finished with a record of 5-10 in 2021. Four of their five wins came at home.

• Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Mackethan has registered 26 saves through three games, which leads all goalkeepers in the country.
• Hailing from Boyertown, PA, she has been one of the bright spots for the Peacocks so far this season, starting in every game and claiming the #1 keeper spot.

Slow Start

• The Peacocks have struggled in their opening three games of the campaign, allowing seven goals and scoring zero on the young season.
• Saint Peter's has been outshot 48-12 so far this season.
• 14 of the 17 newcomers have already seen action in a Saint Peter's uniform.
• This is the longest stretch without scoring a goal to open a season since 2014, when the Peacocks went six games without scoring to kick off the campaign.

• The Peacocks are back at home to face Hampton on Wednesday, August 31 at Jaroschak Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
