JERSEY CITY, NJ– Saint Peter's women's soccer standout midfielder
Joana Dias has been named to the 2025 All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Second Team, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Hailing from Viseu, Portugal, Dias is coming off her best season yet with the Peacocks, finishing with five goals and four assists for a team-high of 14 points in conference play. She appeared in 17 matches, making 15 starts and logging over 1,500 minutes on the pitch. Dias was the lone Saint Peter's player to earn All-MAAC honors this season, solidifying her impact in the midfield.
One of Dias' standout performances came in the conference opener against Niagara, where she recorded a career-best five-point outing with two goals and an assist, helping Saint Peter's secure its first MAAC-opening victory since 2019.
Across her career, Dias has played in 48 matches, making 45 starts, totaling almost 4,000 minutes in three seasons for Saint Peter's. A dynamic midfielder, she's recorded 15 goals and seven assists, earning 2024 MAAC All-Academic and CSC Academic All-District honors.
