JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's University baseball team defeated Rider on Friday afternoon by a score of 9-5. It marked the teams second straight win and their second MAAC series win on the season. Freshman pitcher Jack Gannon earned the first win of his career.

How It Happened
- Rider scored once in the first.
- The Peacocks struck for six in the first inning. Junior infielder Jeff Massicotte, senior infielder Nick Font and freshman catcher Cole Watson eached walked with the bases loaded. Junior infielder Joey Vitiello then hit a two-run single. The Peacocks then tagged on one more, as Buckman walked and Watson stole home on the play.
- The Broncs hit a two-run home run in the third to cut the deficit.
- The Broncs scored two more runs in the fourth.
- Saint Peter's responded with two runs of their own in the fourth. Sophomore infielder Jack Eichler hit a deep sacrifice fly to center to get things started. Font then earned another RBI off of a bases loaded walk.
- Graduate outfielder Tom Buckman hit a solo home run in the seventh.
