NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's University baseball team defeated Iona 12-6 on Friday afternoon. Sophomore pitcher Matthew Dubois earned his second win of the season, while graduate infielder Chris Marquart brought home three runs.

How It Happened
- Junior infielder Sam Haney drove in sophomore outfielder Collin Jensen in the opening frame.
- Iona scored four runs in the fourth.
- After junior infielder Jeff Massicotte hit a lead off double in the fifth, Marquart knocked him home later in the inning.
- The Peacocks loaded the bases in the seventh with no outs. They would end up bringing home six runs, with sophomore shortstop Jack Eichler, graduate outfielder Tom Buckman, freshman outfielder Michael Pollard, Massicotte, and Haney bringing in the runs.
- Saint Peter's iced the cake in the ninth inning with four more runs. Freshman infielder Tyler Smith brought across two runs and then Marquart hit a two-run triple to extend the Peacock lead to eight.
- Iona tried to rally in the ninth, but was only able to bring home two runs.

- Dubois pitched the whole game. He allowed six runs on 12 hits and recorded three strikeouts.
- Marquart had three RBIs, one hit, and scored one run.
- Massicotte scored three runs, as well as tallying a hit and an RBI.
- Haney recorded two RBIs, two hits, and scored a run.
