Baseball Loses Series Finale to The Citadel

CHARLESTON, SC – The Saint Peter's University baseball team lost to The Citadel 18-3 on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore infielder Parker Gray went 2-2 at the plate including hitting a solo home run, while also getting an RBI.

How It Happened

  • The Citadel struck first, scoring two runs in the first inning.
  • Saint Peter's struck back with two runs of their own in the second inning. Buckman hit a two RBI single, scoring freshman catcher Cole Watson and graduate infielder Chris Marquart.
  • The home team scored ten runs between the fourth and the seven innings.
  • Gray homered in the eighth to give the Peacocks their third run of the game.
