How It Happened
- Mercer scored 12 runs over the first two innings to take an early lead.
- The Peacocks loaded the bases in the top of the fourth inning after singles from senior outfielder Anthony Abbatine, sophomore infielder Jack Eichler, and sophomore outfielder Collin Jensen, but they were unable to convert on the opportunity.
- The Bears scored a total of seven runs through the fourth and fifth innings to extend the lead.
