LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team defeated Siena 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Freshman forward Gianna Grassifulli scored the goal for the Peacocks on an assist from graduate midfielder Skyler Owens.
Game Notes
- The Peacocks got on the board in the 17th minute to get out to an early lead thanks to the goal from Grassifulli.
- The game was very physical, as six yellow cards and one red card were issued.
- Freshman midfielder Stella Accettola and graduate defender Brooke Boutchie each had attempts towards the end of the half, but they were both saved.
- The score would remain 1-0 in favor of the Peacocks heading into the half.
- Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Mackethan made a save in the 52nd minute to keep the Peacocks in front.
- Freshman forward Taylor Moyer had a shot in the 65th minute, her attempt was saved.
- The Peacocks were able to hold off the Saints and earn their fourth victory of the season.

- Grassifulli's goal was the second of her career.
- Owens' assist was her fourth of the season and the fifth of her career.
- Saint Peter's recorded 11 shots. Boutchie, Grassifulli, graduate forward Mya Daniels, and graduate defender Fatou Doucoure each had two. Owens, Moyer, and Accettola each had one.

- Mackethan made three saves and earned her third career clean sheet.
