JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team was defeated by Quinnipiac by a score of 75-53 Monday afternoon in Run Baby Run Arena. Graduate guard Kendrea Williams once again led the team in scoring, totaling 16 for the game.
Playing for the second time in five days, Quinnipiac started the game with a 17-0 scoring run to blow the doors open early. The Peacocks were only able to score 8 points in the quarter, as junior center Kassondra Brown scored two baskets and freshman forward Kaila Dawkins made four free throws. The Bobcats led 24-8 after one.
The second quarter was played evenly between the two sides. Dawkins continued to shine for the Peacocks, four of the first six points in the quarter. However, Saint Peter's was barely able to put a dent into the deficit, giving up nine offensive rebounds to the Bobcats in just the second quarter alone. Quinnipiac led 41-26 at the break.
Saint Peter's was able to cut the Quinnipiac lead down to 10 with 5:32 left to go in the third quarter. The Peacocks had multiple players contribute to the run, including four points by both Brown and senior guard Kourtney Crane. The Bobcats were able to extend their lead to 20 going into the fourth quarter.
The MAAC Preseason Favorites defeated the Peacocks for the second straight game, and improved to 16-0 all-time against Saint Peter's. This was the first of five straight games at home for the Peacocks.

- Dawkins led the Peacocks off the bench with a career high 10 points.
- Brown made her return to the lineup after missing one game, scoring 10 points and grabbing seven boards.
