NEWARK, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team lost to New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) by a score of 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Game Notes:

The Peacocks had the better of the chances for the first 25 minutes, including senior defender Brooke Boutchie's shot that rattled the crossbar. Prior to that chance, freshman defender Carlota Pastor Romero registered two shots of her own.

NJIT scored right on the stroke of halftime in the 42nd minute to give the Highlanders a 1-0 going into the break.

NJIT scored three goals within the first eight minutes of the second half to take a 4-0 lead.

Junior midfielder Madison Greenberg had a chance in the 82nd minute to put the Peacocks on the board, but her shot was saved.

The Highlanders would score again in the 58th minute and again in the 77th minute to win the game 6-0.

The Peacocks registered 10 shots, with Boutchie leading the way with four, and Pastor Romero right behind her with three.

Greenberg registered the only shot on target for the Peacocks.
