HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team defeated the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights by a score of 73-52 Wednesday afternoon in the Rothman Center. Graduate guard Kendrea Williams led the team in scoring, getting 24 points on the day.
After FDU got out to an early 3-0 lead, Saint Peter's went on a 20-0 run to blow the game open in the first quarter. Senior guard scored the first four points of the run, and scored six in total. Sophomore forward Sky Castro also scored six points on the run. Saint Peter's led 20-6 after the first.
The Peacocks continued to roll in the second quarter, outscoring FDU 19-12. Williams scored seven straight points in less than a minute less than three minutes into the quarter, part of another big scoring effort from her. Williams would go on to make her second three of the game with 5:26 left in the half. The reigning MAAC Player of the Week, MET Writers Association Division I Player of the Week, and NCAA Division I Starting Five Player of the Week had 14 points at the half. Saint Peter's led 39-18.
The third quarter brought more of the same for the Peacocks, outscoring FDU for the third straight quarter, this time 21-14. Over the course of the first four minutes of the quarter, Crane scored eight straight points for the Peacocks to help build on their lead. Junior center Kassondra Brown finished the quarter by scoring the last five for Saint Peter's.
FDU started to crawl back into the game at the free throw line in the fourth quarter, but the Peacocks lead proved to be too large for the Knights. Williams, who came into today had the second best FT% in the MAAC, made some late free throws to seal the game for the Peacocks, as she shot 8-of-8 from the line on the day. Saint Peter's enters the holiday break on a three game winning streak.

- Williams scored a team high 24 points and added a career high six steals. She also matched her career high with four assists.
- Crane scored 14 points and was filling up the stat sheet, as she also added four rebounds and a season high four assists.
- Brown had another good outing for the Peacocks, scoring 13 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and blocking two shots.
- Castro scored eight points, had seven rebounds, and blocked two shots.
