NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Saint Peter's University women's volleyball team concluded its weekend Western New York trip with a three-set loss to Niagara on Sunday at the Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles built an 8-0 lead in the opening frame on the way to a 25-12 opening set win. The Peacocks were within four (11-7) a third of the way through the second set but were done in again by a big Niagara run that gave the hosts a 25-14 win in the second set. In the third, the visitors were within two points at 14-12, but Niagara would win nine of the next 11 rallies to take an 11-point lead (23-14) and ultimately put the set -- and match -- away at 25-27.

Top Peacock Performers
- Seniors Stephanie Rivera and Alanis Alvarado and freshman Lily Barnhill combined for 16 of the Peacocks' 31 kills, with Rivera leading the pack with six putaways. Alvarado also had the team's lone service ace.
- Graduate student Wildalys Soto's 20 assists were the most by a player on any team on Sunday, while she also led the Peacocks with 10 digs on the defensive end.
- At the net front, Soto (2.0) had the most blocks for the Peacocks on Sunday, while Rivera and senior Angeleyshka Curbelo added one stuff apiece.

- Niagara outscored the Peacocks 57.0-35.0 and outgained the visitors in kills by a 45-31 margin.
- Purple Eagle servers edged the Peacocks in aces, 6-1.
