Women’s Soccer Falls to Maine 2-0 at Home

JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision against Maine on Wednesday at Jaroschak Field. The defeat marks the first home loss for the Peacocks this season in three tries.
 
Game Notes

• The Black Bears struck early after sophomore defender Susannah Gaines headed the ball in after a feed from senior midfielder Emilie Andersen at the 20-minute mark.
• The score would remain unchanged through the remainder of the first half, with both goalkeepers recording a pair of saves each.
• Maine was able to double its lead roughly 10 minutes into the second half when midfielder Hannah Bamford was able to bump the ball into the back of the net off her right leg off a feed from forward Emma Donovan.
