Women’s Soccer Drops Decision to Fairfield on Wednesday

JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's women's soccer team faced off against Fairfield on Wednesday afternoon at Jaroschak Field. The Stags would secure the win after putting up five unanswered goals on the Peacocks.
 
Game Notes

• Fairfield scored early, with the first Stags goal coming in the 14th minute from Liz Dumas off an assist from Brooke Hernon.
• The Stags would put up another score at 34', with Brooke Jones scoring off a double-assist from Dumas and Hanley Courter.
• After the start of the second half, the Stags put up two goals within 10 minutes, with Hernon claiming the goal at the 50 minute-mark, and Stephanie Tsangaris slotting the Stags' fourth goal of the match in the 58th minute after the helper from Jones.
• Jenn Wahlig scored the fifth and final goal for Fairfield on a header following the cross from Gabby Diodati.
• The Peacocks were able to get off four shots on the match with one from sophomore midfielder Stephanie Radakovic finding the mark.

Inside the Numbers

• Saint Peter's junior goalkeeper Victoria Scarratt earned the start in today's game, recording two saves on the day.
• The Stags outshot the Peacocks 24-4 on Wednesday, with seven being on target compared to one by the Peacocks.
