Women’s Soccer Falls to Quinnipiac at Home on Wednesday

Foul weather and tough conditions played against Peacocks in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Quinnipiac on Wednesday at home. The game saw torrential downpours and high gusts as the Peacocks did battle with the Bobcats.

  • The first half of Wednesday's game saw a back-and-forth battle between the two sides, with neither team finding the mark in the first 45 minutes of action.
  • Pouring rain and high winds persisted throughout the match, taking its toll on players who did their best to find their footing and keep play moving.
  • In the 61st minute, Quinnipiac's Emily Loney finally broke through the Peacocks' defense to put the ball in the back of the net, putting the Bobcats in the lead, which they would hold for the rest of the match.
