Women’s Soccer Drops Overtime Contest against Delaware State

DOVER, DE – Saint Peter's women's soccer played Delaware State to a heated overtime match, before falling to the Hornets 1-0 in the first extra period.  
 
Game Notes

• The first 45 minutes of action were evenly played with no team gaining a true advantage.
• Both teams logged three shots and fouls, while the Peacocks had a 3-2 save advantage.
• The second half had a 6-4 Peacock edge on shots and 2-1 advantage in saves, while both teams evenly took two corner kicks.
• In the extra period, Delaware Start got off consecutive shots on goal with Peacock keeper Victoria Scarratt stopping the first, but the put back shot found the back of the net ending the game for Saint Peter's.

• Alexandria Couto led the way with three shots, followed by Julianna Murrill with two shots.
• Both Couto and Murrill's shots were on goal along with Isabel Fernandez, who logged a shot on goal.
