SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The Saint Peter's women's basketball team lost 90-47 on Sunday at Seton Hall. Zoe Pero and D'Aviyon Magazine led the Peacocks in scoring in the game.

Game Notes vs. Seton Hall
  • Pero had the first points of the day to jump out to a quick 2-0 lead after Seton Hall missed a layup on the opening possession.
  • Seton Hall answered with a 16-0 run before Magazine hit a trifecta to slow down the Pirates.
  • Magazine hit another long three in the second quarter to give the Peacocks their first points of the frame.
  • After the triple, Saint Peter's went through a 6:30 scoring drought before Pero put in a layup to end it with 2:16 to go before halftime.
  • The Peacocks played a close period coming out of the break, keeping pace with Seton Hall, only getting outscored by three in the third frame, 20-17.
  • Saint Peter's couldn't muster up a fourth quarter comeback, and fell to the Pirates 90-47.
Inside the Numbers

Coach's Quotes - Marc Mitchell
  • "I don't think in the first half we came out with the type of effort and energy that we needed to play with a team like Seton Hall. After halftime we made some adjustments and I think we did a much better job in the third quarter of matching their intensity, and I'm pleased with that."
  • "I think initially it was a little big for [the freshman], but then they settled in so we'll bounce back for Yale next."
Up Next
  • The Peacocks head to New Haven, CT for a date with Yale on Tuesday, December 4.
  • Tip is set for 6 p.m.
