This season I think our team will accomplish: This year I think that we will be very successful; we will have a great year and have great team chemistry. I think with the team that we have we can accomplish things that in the past we have never been able to do.
Two things I bring to the team: I bring a positive attitude, and my awesomeness
My favorite thing about being a student-athlete is: I love that I get to spend so much time with my best friends, we have so much fun together and we are one big family; there is always someone to hang out with and something to do.
Since my last competitive season the aspect of my training I’ve worked on the most is: I have worked on my distance running
Who most influenced your athletic career and why: My coach Marcelo influenced me the most; he helped me to where I am today. He always pushed me and supported me and made sure I had the best.
Favorite motivational quote: Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion. – Muhammad Ali
Reason you chose your number: I chose number 4 because it has always been my number and it is my favorite. It’s my lucky number.
What is your biggest sports’ thrill: Last year in the 2011 Women’s world cup final game when they were facing Japan; even though they lost the whole time while watching that game I was on edge. I was at work and I watched every minute it was heart breaking but was so intense the whole time.
Pre-game Rituals: Before the game a just like to listen and dance to music then have a good time and just relax; get ready and get loose before the game.
Greatest Sports Memory: My greatest sports memory was in 2011 while playing my last game of the season. We were playing our conference rival and they needed to win that game to make it into the playoffs. In the first half my roommate and I wound up scoring two goals back to back after being down by one. Maggie took the ball off her chest and volleyed it with her left foot right into the back of the net. A bit later we received a free kick outside the 18; I took it and placed it upper 90. It was so exciting we had just got ahead in the game, and my best friend/roommate and I had finally scored in the same game. It was so exciting.
