Who most influenced your athletic career and why: My coachof three years at the South Oakland A’s, Tony DeMonaco. Heintroduced me to the book Heads Up Baseball and helped mestrengthen my mental game, without which I would not be playingbaseball at the Division I level

Reason you chose your number: I had a choice between 14 and33, and 33 just seems like a number that should be worn by alefty

Pre-game Rituals: I don’t have any rituals, onlyroutines. I listen to a certain pregame playlist on the bus ride tothe game

Greatest Sports Memory: Throwing a no-hitter in a tournament whenI was 16
