EDISON, NJ– Saint Peter's senior sprinter
Cashieve Blair continues his dominant outdoor campaign, earning Jersey Mike's MAAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second consecutive week after another strong showing at the 2026 Outdoor Metropolitan Championships, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Blair becomes the first Peacock in program history to win back-to-back Track Athlete of the Week honors.
At the Metropolitan Championships,
Cashieve Blair secured a pair of gold medals. He blazed to first place in the 400m, earning the first individual gold of the day in 47.00, finishing more than a second ahead of the field. The time currently ranks first in the MAAC by over half a second and second in the Metropolitan area.
The senior then anchored the 4x400m relay team to victory, as the Peacocks finished nearly three seconds ahead of the field in 3:13.47, with Blair closing the race in a 46.78 split.
Blair has now tallied four gold medals across his last four events to open the outdoor season.
Blair and the Peacocks now turn their attention to the Rutgers Relays at the Bauer Track & Field Complex in Piscataway, NJ, on Saturday, April 11.
