TEANECK, N.J. - The Saint Peter's baseball team is back in action on Wednesday when it takes on FDU at Naimoli Family Baseball Complex. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
The Peacocks (2-5) have played the Knights (0-7) a total of 18 times dating back to 2011. The last time the two teams met was April 12, 2023 when Saint Peter's won by a crazy score of 23-18. FDU holds a 14-4 record over Saint Peter's all-time, but the Peacocks will look to put a small dent in that number on Wednesday.
Neither team has started the season how they would've liked. Saint Peter's returned from Fairfax, Virginia with one win against George Mason, but ultimately lost the series 2-1. Fairleigh Dickinson has yet to win a game this year although it has been in a few close contests.
Despite what their record shows, the Peacocks have two of the top three hitters in the MAAC, according to batting average, up to this point in the season.
Tommy Kendrick leads the conference with a batting average of .526 while
Ashby Vining ranks third with a .480. The two have combined for 22 hits and 17 RBIs. Vining is also one of eight players in the MAAC with at least two home runs.
If Saint Peter's wants to win and keep FDU from recording its first victory of the season then those two players will need to continue their solid production on Wednesday.
