FAIRFAX, Va. - The Saint Peter's baseball team continues its season on the road this weekend at Spuhler Field with a three-game series against George Mason. The Peacocks will play the Patriots at 1 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday before moving to a 12 p.m. start time on Sunday.
Saint Peter's (1-3) returned to Jersey City after playing its first four games of the season against Incarnate Word in Texas. The Peacocks won the last game of the series, 8-5, after a ninth inning comeback.
Ashby Vining had a solid weekend for Saint Peter's, recording eight hits, seven runs, seven RBIs and two homers which all lead the MAAC.
Tommy Kendrick also fared well his first weekend in a Peacocks uniform, batting .600 which also leads the conference. He tallied six hits in 10 at bats while scoring three runs.
George Mason (1-3) won its first game of the season against East Carolina but has since lost three straight games, two to East Carolina and one to Georgetown. This series is the Patriots' first home series of the season.
