Saint Peter's Seeks Redemption Vs. Rider

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's men's basketball team is set to take on Rider for the second time this season on Sunday but this time at Run Baby Run Arena. The Peacocks and Broncs are scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m. ET.

Saint Peter's (8-13, 3-10 MAAC) is coming off a solid win vs. Fairfield on Friday night, marking its first conference win at home this season. The Peacocks were led by a strong defensive effort and a dominant performance on the glass.

In the last matchup against the Broncs, the Peacocks found themselves trailing by 13 in the second half but made a late push to bring it within one in the final minutes. Saint Peter's had a chance to tie the game and send it to overtime with a 3-pointer in the closing seconds, but the shot took a Rider bounce as the Broncs won. 

ABOUT THE BRONCS
The Broncs (10-15, 6-8 MAAC) are currently three games ahead of Saint Peter's in the MAAC standings. They are coming off a second half double-digit comeback against Iona on the road. 

In the first meeting between Rider and Saint Peter's, T.J. Weeks Jr. and Zion Cruz led the charge for the Broncs. Weeks Jr. recorded 17 points, leading all scorers, while Cruz dropped 14. They both shot 50.0 percent or better from the field as Rider held on for a 67-64 victory.

Rider is coached by Kevin Baggett who is in his 13th season as the head coach of the Broncs.
