Women’s Basketball Back In Action Against Lafayette

JERSEY CITY, N.J - The Saint Peter's women's basketball team is back on the road against Lafayette this Thursday Nov. 13 at the Kirby Sports Center in Easton, PA, tip off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m ET. The matchup will be the third of four consecutive road games to open the 2025-26 season for the Peacocks. 

Saint Peter's looks to bounce back after a hard fought loss against Fordham on Monday 56-70. Despite the loss, there were plenty of things to be excited about from the Peacocks squad. Carys Roy had a monster game leading the team in points with 19, her second most in her career and the most she has scored since her career high of 26 in 2023. De'Naya Rippey was also a standout recording a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, making this her third career double double in the blue and white. The Peacocks also would shoot as a collective 28 free throws, more than any single game last season and the most since the 2022-23 season with Roy going 9-11 from the foul line. 

For the Leopards, they are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss against Le Moyne on Sunday 79-82. After a 16-3 run in the third quarter to give the Leopards the lead, Le Moyne would fight back to send the game into overtime, outscoring the Leopards 29-21 in the final two quarters. Haylie Adamski and Talia Zurinskas dominated for the Leopards, combining for 42 points, nine rebounds, and seven steals. 

The last time the Peacocks and Leopards would face off was back in 2018. Saint Peter's would earn a tough victory 62-60. The Peacocks overall record against Lafayette sits at 6-3, with a two game win streak against Lafayette.
