Jersey City, N.J.- Saint Peter's Baseball defeated Manhattan College in both games on Saturday afternoon.
Game 1 Notes
- Saint Peter's pulled off a miraculous comeback win over Manhattan, 14-13.
- The Peacocks were in an early 7-0 hole in the first inning but managed to chip away with a three-run bottom of the first inning.
- After trailing 11-4, Saint Peter's rattled off 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth.
- In the sixth, Saint Peter's walked in two runs and Ashby Vining drove in three runs in that half inning when the order batted around.
- The offensive surge in the sixth was enough to hold onto a 14-13 win for Saint Peter's.
Game 2 Notes
- The Peacocks rode strong pitching from Jonny Gilligan en route to a 6-3 victory in the second half of Saturday's doubleheader.
- Saint Peter's had eight hits at the plate.
- Garrett Greco and Jace Gilligan led the way at the plate with two hits each.
Saint Peter's will continue the series against Manhattan College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
