New Rochelle, N.Y.- Saint Peter's Baseball lost to Iona University, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at City Park.
Game Notes
- The first four innings were scoreless until Iona broke the tie with a wild pitch from Saint Peter's Marcus Monroe.
- In the seventh, Iona gave itself enough breathing room with two more runs. That 3-0 lead was enough for the win.
- Iona starting pitcher Andrelys Payamps had a strong outing against the Peacocks with eight scoreless innings, nine strikeouts, and three hits.
- Ashby Vining accounted for two of Saint Peter's three hits on the afternoon.
- The loss sends Saint Peter's to a 10-29 season record.
The final game of the series will take place on Sunday at 12 p.m.
