- Fairfield pulled off a comeback win with a two-run eighth inning that sealed the home win for the Stags.
- It was a great start to the game for Saint Peter's after holding a 3-1 lead heading into the second inning.
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, Fairfield scored four runs, which put the Stags ahead 5-4.
- All four of Fairfield's four runs in the fourth inning came off of three separate home runs.
- Ashby Vining helped Saint Peter's retake the lead with a three-run home run in the seventh inning.
- After tying the game, Fairfield eventually took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning following a pass ball.
- With the loss, Saint Peter's fell to a 10-24 season record.
Saint Peter's will play the second game of the series against Fairfield on Saturday at 1 p.m.
