Bayonne, N.J.- The Saint Peter's Peacocks played a doubleheader against the Marist Red Foxes at Bayonne High School on Sunday evening.
Game 1 Notes
- Saint Peter's pulled out the 8-6 win over Marist College.
- Marist took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, but the Peacocks answered back quickly.
- The Peacocks tied the game at 4-4 in the third inning after Tyler DeClusin stole home plate.
- Saint Peter's added four more runs in the fourth and fifth innings which were enough to seal the 8-6 win.
- Linden Reaburn earned the win for Saint Peter's.
Game 2 Notes
- The second game went in favor of the visiting Red Foxes as two eighth inning runs sealed the five-run win over the Peacocks.
- Saint Peter's had an early lead in the first inning, but Marist took control and managed to get enough distance from Saint Peter's.
- On the mound, Mason Williams received the loss for the Peacocks.
On Tuesday at 3 p.m., Saint Peter's will travel to play Yale.
