Box Score Jersey City, N.J.- Saint Peter's Baseball lost to Marist College, 16-2, on Friday afternoon at Jaroschak Field.
Game Notes
- Saint Peter's saw Marist surge late in the game for the 14-run win.
- Joe Lomangino drove in two runs for the Peacocks in the bottom of the fourth inning. That two-RBI single tied the game at 2-2.
- Marist's Johnny Decker delivered a two-run RBI single in the top of the fifth inning, which put Marist up by two runs, 4-2.
- Marco Ali drove in a run with a ground ball to shortstop in the fifth.
- Marist led 6-2 after the top of the fifth.
- In the top of the seventh, Marist scored two runs off of an error by right fielder Brendon Wilson. That error extended Marist's lead to 8-2.
- Austin Bohlman's sacrifice fly to right field scored another run in the seventh.
- Marist went into the bottom of the 9th leading 16-2.
Saint Peter's is scheduled to face Marist on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Game 2 of the weekend series.
