Box Score WEST POINT,N.Y.- The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball program fell to Army by a score of 64-42 on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore forward Fatmata Janneh was the lead scorer for the Peacocks tacking on a total of 19 points.

WHAT HAPPENED
At the start of the first quarter, sophomore forward Fatmata Janneh opened up with a layup for the Peacocks. Janneh followed up by shooting beyond the three-point arc assisted by junior guard Louella Allana. The Peacocks held the Black Knights scoreless for four minutes during the first quarter. Allana shot from downtown, while Janneh contributed two points. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 13-10 Army.
During the second quarter, senior forward Layla Laws made a driving layup, Janneh made a jumper, and sophomore guard Emily O'Connell shot beyond the three-point arc. At half the score was 30-17.
Saint Peter's opened the second half with a strong start, as Laws and Janneh quickly added two points to the scoreboard. Allana made a jumper, while Janneh connected a pair of free throws. Janneh finished the third quarter with 15 points and five rebounds.
In the Peacocks final stretch, Laws started the squad with a driving layup. Janneh had back-to-back driving layups.The Black Knights answered with a free throw to extend their lead but held off a Peacock rally down the stretch.Â
