Box Score HACKENSACK, NJ- The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball program fell to FDU by a score of 67-50 on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore forward Fatmata Janneh was the lead scorer for the Peacocks tacking on a total of 22 points and eight rebounds. Senior Layla Laws contribute 14 points to the squad.

WHAT HAPPENED
To get the Peacocks rolling in the first quarter, junior guard Louella Allana opened the floor with a triple. Sophomore forward Fatmata Janneh followed up with a shot beyond the three-point arc. Janneh shot a jumper with Allana's assistance. At the end of the first quarter, the score was tied 14-14.
During the second quarter, freshman forward Linda Amaning started the Peacocks off with a layup. Senior forward Layla Laws and Janneh followed up by driving to the basket. Laws connected a pair of free throws to end the first half. At half-time, the score was 26-24.
Saint Peter's opened the second half with a strong start, Allana quickly drove to the basket. Janneh responded with a driving layup and a pair of free throws. Janneh had a triple towards the end of the third quarter.Â
During the Peacock's final stretch, Laws made back-to-back layups. Laws quickly responded with a drive to the basket. Freshman De'Naya Rippey contributed two points to the squad. The Knights answered with a three-pointer to extend their lead and held off a Peacock rally down the stretch.Â
Laws shot 42.86% from the floor, tacking on 14 points. Allana shot 2-of-3 beyond the three-point arc and 60% from the floor. Janneh was the lead scorer for the Peacocks, totaling 22 points.

Next, the Peacocks travel to West Long Branch, NJ, where the squad takes on Monmouth University. The match-up will take place on Tuesday, November 26th. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. The game will be streamed live on FloSports.Â
