Marcus Randolph continued his hot start to the season, dropping in 19 points, leading three scorers in double digits as the Peacocks powered past UMBC 69-61 in a non-conference tilt.
The Peacocks pick up their first win of the season to improve to 1-3, while the Retrievers drop to 3-2 overall.

The Retrievers battled back to go back up by three points with under six minutes to play. The Peacocks raced to the end of the half as Randolph connected on a triple, while r-freshman
Bryce Eaton and sophomore
Armoni Zeigler added buckets down the stretch to help the visitors take a 28-26 lead at halftime.
The teams traded leads to start the second half as UMBC pushed ahead 34-33 at the 17:22 mark. Saint Peter's responded with a 9-0 burst to retake the lead. Zeigler bookended the run with a pair from downtown, while Eaton added a bucket and a free throw to help the Peacocks pull out in front 42-34 with 14:39 left in the game.

Adetokunbo Bakare and Zeigler added trifectas over a seven-minute stretch to push their lead into double digits. The Retrievers got as close as five points in the final minutes but two free throws each from r-junior
Brent Bland and Eaton in the waning seconds sealed the deal for Saint Peter's, vaulting them to their first win of the season.
Randolph connected on five of Saint Peter's 12 three-pointers in the win, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown, finishing with 19 points and six rebounds. Eaton added 14 points, four boards and three assists, while Zeigler totaled 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Graduate
Stephon Roberts led the team with eight of the team's 41 rebounds in the game as the Peacocks held a 41-29 rebounding advantage.
The Peacocks return to Jersey City for their first home game of the season as they welcome Saint Elizabeth University to Run Baby Run Arena on Wednesday, November 20 for a 7 pm tip-off. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
