JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's Women's Soccer lost to Siena College, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon at Jaroschak Field.
Game Notes
- In the final minutes, the Peacocks threatened to force a draw, but the Saints held onto a narrow 3-2 win.
- Saint Peter's started the game out with a goal from Felicia Wallin in the 10th minute.
- The one-goal lead from the Peacocks lasted for six minutes until Siena's Cate Flanagan tied the match in the 16th minute of action
- The second half began with a 1-1 tie, but the Saints took the lead for the first time in the game during the 53rd minute.
- Megan Stowell was credited with the Saints' second goal of the match. Catherine Rogers pitched in with the assist on the goal.
- Siena pushed itself ahead by two goals, 3-1, following Lindsey Harrington's 69th-minute goal.
- Fouls were costly for both teams and Siena cost itself a penalty goal from Joana Dias in the 73rd minute.
- Dias's goal cut the deficit to one goal, 3-2, but the Peacocks were unable to find one more goal to earn the draw.
- With Saturday's defeat, the Peacocks dropped to 3-8 on the season.
