Box Score 2 VESTAL, NY. - The Saint Peter's volleyball team concluded its season-opening weekend at the Bearcat Classic Saturday. The Peacocks dropped matches to Merrimack 3-1 and host-school Binghamton 3-0.
Notes: SPU VS MC
- The Peacocks won the first set against the Warriors 25-20. The set was tied at 16 before the Peacocks pulled away. They closed out the set on 3-0 run for their first set victory of the season.
- Mackenzie Tucker led the Peacocks with 10 kills in the game.
- Merrimack's Carlat Jules scored 23 points.
- SPU went on a 4-0 run in set two which was capped off by consecutive service aces from SPU freshman Samantha Trujillo.
- The Warriors closed out the game in set four as they won the set 25-18.

- The Peacocks dropped the first two sets 25-13 to the Bearcats.
- Sydney Kuzma led the Peacocks in five points, five kills, and 20 total attacks.
- SPU freshman Olivia Gang made her first career start for the Peacocks.
- The Bearcats had 18 more kills than the Peacocks and out blocked them 2-0.

The Peacocks (0-3) will get back in the tournament swing next weekend in South Orange at the Seton Hall Classic. Saint Peter's will face NJIT on Friday Sep. 5 and then George Mason and Seton Hall on Saturday Sep. 6.
